City Demos New On-Street Parking Stations


 

This is the 75th anniversary of the on-street parking meter. To celebrate, the City  is installing 193 new pay stations for on-street parking. Mayor Charles Meeker lead a demo Feb. 3 in front of City Hall where the first three pay stations have been installed. Story  |  How to use

Info On The Lightner Safety Center
The Clarence E. Lightner Public Safety Center would be a state-of-the-art facility of 16 stories and approximately 302,000 square feet that would consolidate the City’s public safety operations and other local government offices. Click "More" for additional information about the proposed facility.
"Dual/focus" Art Exhibition Begins Feb. 4
"Dual/focus," an art exhibition sponsored by the City of Raleigh Arts Commission, will be on display Feb. 4 through March 22 in the Miriam Preston Block Art Gallery. This is the first exhibition of the 2010 "Exhibiting Dichotomies" Municipal Building Exhibition Series.
Raleigh Rewards Responsible Recycling With "Recycle And Win"
Now through April 30, you have a chance to be rewarded – just for doing the right thing. The City of Raleigh has announced the "Recycle And Win" partnership, a public/private initiative designed to educate citizens on the right way to recycle and to encourage them to do so.
